What can I say? After more than a year and a half the boat is ready to sail. Weather permitting, and the reports look good, we plan on taking her to lake Logan Martin Friday morning. Boat working days the past few weeks have been devoted to painting. Late last week in addition to painting I was also getting the sail and spars rigged. Today I pulled the boat, on its trailer, out onto the driveway. I stepped the mast and for the first time set the sail. I think the following pictures tell a better story than I can.
| Starboard side, rudder in place, sail set |
| The rudder and tiller will be shipped aboard for trailering |
| There was a very slight breeze in Pelham today and the sail kept swinging to port. |
| The obligatory registration numbers have been installed. She looked a lot better before the numbers were added. |
| This picture clearly shows the mast, yard, and boom. There will be a report on this blog with more pictures after her "sea trials." |
